Time to sand blast the fuselage
The least fun part of the entire project has to be sand blasting. I waited for a nice winter day to blast. Rented a big air compressor and after a lot of technical difficulties got everything to work. And then it started to snow. Quick, move the fuselage inside. Fortunately it was just a passing flurry, fuse out again and back to blasting.

Nearing completion. The blasting material sure does make a giant mess.

Once the blasting is done, it was into the paint booth for epoxy primer.

And epoxy primer

After the epoxy primer dried the entire fuselage got sprayed with Ranthane, a catylized paint. After that dried the cockpit section was painted matte black.
